Greetings from Beauvoir!

Work continues on the Hayes Cottage and Library Cottage(see photos). Both will be finished by October.

 

The new Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum has been approved by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH). The old JDPL is gone(see photos).

We average about 100 tourists per day. Gift shop sales are good.

Beauvoir is featured in the August 2008 Southern Living Magazine!

  Report on Hurricane Gustav
We lost over 10 trees and the grounds are littered with debris. Beauvoir House is undamaged! There was no damage to our other buildings, we now have our eye on Hurricane Ike.
We are scheduled to re-open Monday, 9-8-08
