Text Box: Catherine Williams, operating as a contract conservator under a grant from the Mellon Foundation, has demonstrated excellent skills during her service on the gulf coast.  Her specialty in the art conservation field is objects, a specialty that has proven very useful in dealing with Beauvoir’s collection.  Working with Beauvoir and the other coast museums as they struggle to recover from the hurricane has been taxing but Ms. Williams has risen to the occasion.Based out of Austin, Texas and the owner of Silver Lining Art Conser

Text Box: Local Eagle and Boy Scouts from Troop 212 and their families spent several weekends this spring cleaning the Confederate Veterans Cemetery and built Local Eagle and Boy Scouts from Troop 212 and their families spent several weekends this spring cleaning the Confederate Veterans Cemetery and built and painted  seven picnic tables for Beauvoir to replace ones destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.  They also contributed the materials for the tables as well.   The volunteers are pictured below.
