Jefferson Davis Live Oak Items
These items made of wood are from the Jefferson Davis Live Oak that is located on the property here at Beauvoir.
The Live Oak is between 300-400 years old and was here when President Jefferson Davis lived here. President Davis enjoyed spending time sitting on a bench under the tree reading and enjoying the beauty of the property. All of these items were created by master wood sculptor Roland Pimm of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and are inscribed on the back: "Jeff Davis Live Oak Beauvoir MS 20009 R F Pimm"
