Greetings from Beauvoir! Work continues on the Hayes Cottage and Library Cottage(see photos). Both will be finished by October.
The new Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum has been approved by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH). The old JDPL is gone(see photo).
The Confederate Soldier's Museum building is gone as well(see photo).
We average about 100 tourists per day. Gift shop sales are good. Beauvoir is featured in the August 2008 Southern Living Magazine! Rick Forte Sr. More Good News to Come!
