Beauvoir Confederate Veterans Home
And Cemetery
In
order to gain a better understanding of the following lists, a few facts
must be considered:
-
Much of the records are incomplete,
particularly dates of admission and discharge from the home. Single
dates can, but not always, indicate date of death.
-
As one of the requirements to
be admitted to the home was Mississippi Residency, many soldiers moved
to Mississippi from their native states for a period of at least one year
prior to admission.
-
Many of the residents came and
left more than once, therefore, the dates listed may not necessarily be
the only time of stay in the home.
-
Those containing and asterik
(*) are buried in marked graves in Beauvoir Cemetery.
-
Those containing links
indicate additional information.
