The Jefferson Davis Presidential Library is open on Wednesday-Saturday 9am to 4pm.  Appointments are required for viewing of archival materials and recommended for general use.  Under special circumstances, appointments may be made outside the normal hours.  Please call 1-800-570-3818, our librarian will assist you in making your appointment. Before making your appointment or online request, please understand the following limitations to our research facility.   Our research library holds only the records of those veterans and wives who resided at Beauvoir during the Soldier's Home Period.  Please make sure that the person you are researching appears on our published lists before making your request. If you know of a veteran or widow who resided at the home, and is not on our lists, please share that information with us! Due to an overwhelming number of requests,  response time is 4-6 weeks, so, please be patient.
